What’s New in Revolution 2019.2
Dial Monitoring for Cisco
In our 2018.2 release, we introduced a feature called Dial Monitoring that allowed Polycom and Mitel customers to monitor dialed phone numbers from any supported IP phones on their network. We’re excited to share that we’ve extended support to our Cisco customers in the 2019.2 release! This means customers who are already using our CallAlert software will now have similar functionality available in Revolution!
What’s Dial Monitoring?
When a number matching your filter criteria is dialed, it triggers a notification and sends an alert to designated personnel. This feature is particularly useful for monitoring emergency 911 calls (or other specified numbers). Dial Monitoring can trigger a notification that includes the dialer’s caller ID, the date and time that the call was placed, along with a brief message to help reduce response time in the event of an emergency and streamline business processes.
Activation & Deactivation Enhancements
Users can now activate and deactivate notifications from different sources, giving users more flexibility to create notifications that meet your day-to-day needs. For example, you can start a continuous notification from a phone call and cancel the notification from their Revolution mobile app.
Noteworthy Highlights
Other highlights from the 2019.2 release include:
- Dashboard Auto-Updates – The Revolution dashboard now uses push notifications to dynamically update dashboard content so you can see all notifications are being sent and what items are scheduled to occur in the near future.
- Limit Dynamic Endpoints to a Site – Revolution now checks if a notification’s site setting matches the destination code that the user enters when dialing a dynamic notification and will not add endpoints that do not have the correct site. Refer to the Revolution Web Help for details.
- Allow Continuous Notifications to Repeat without Pausing – You asked, we listened! Based on customer feedback, we’ve reduced the continuous notification mode to “zero” to allow your notifications to loop without pausing.
- Live Updates on Current State of a Running Notification –Customers can now access detailed status on the state a running notification is in so you can quickly tell what is happening with your notifications.
